Military Kit Insurance FAQs

We have gathered together a selection of frequently asked questions from our clients to assist you in deciding which of the offered plans are suitable for your requirements.

Yes, if any items you own or are responsible for are accidentally lost or damaged they are covered.

You are covered worldwide, for your personal belongings and Kit, for home contents the cover is restricted to the address we know about. If you move within the UK or are posted abroad, just let us know your new address in advance and we will arrange to cover to be changed and this will include insuring your goods whilst they are in transit.

Your standard policy excess is only £50. If the claim involves a laptop or tablet then the excess is £125.

No, the excess is the same, but leaving items on display will attract the attention of thieves. So if you do need to leave items in the car, they would only be covered if they were in a locked boot or glove compartment.

Our policies are designed specifically for the needs of members of HM Forces, we can offer you a wide range of solutions, including insuring your Personal Belongings and Kit only whilst away from home Just call us and we will be happy to discuss your individual needs.

No, this is not necessary, when deciding the values, when deciding on the cover you need, we recommend that you show the full value of the items you own under each section. There is no need to insure personal items twice, remember the sums insured you select should represent the total value of all your possessions. If you are in any doubt, please call us and we will be happy to help.
