Health Insurance – Expat Groups

Usually on larger group policies, cover can be arranged for different managerial bands.
Under a group health insurance plan, the company pays the premium to the health insurer direct.
As your broker, we can enquire from the health insurer whether they will provide a quote to continue your policy on an individual basis so that you do not lose benefits of wait periods and pre-existing condition cover.
This varies from health insurer to insurer – some insurers have a directory of hospitals and clinics from which to choose direct billing facilities for treatment/hospitalization. Others will allow you to choose the hospital for your treatment, provided that you notify them beforehand. Please note all inpatient and daypatient treatment requires pre-authorisation by the insurer.
