JBI offer Term Life Insurance and Critical Illness Cover.
No, most joint Life Insurance policies pay out on the first death. The policy will then end and no further benefits will be paid. If you want a policy that will pay out if both of you die at the same time, please speak to our insurance adviser.
You need to choose how much Life Insurance you take. People often want their policy to pay out a multiple of their salary or the value of their mortgage. You will need to consider the financial security of your dependents and the value of any financial loans or commitments you have outstanding. If you are unsure about the amount of cover you need speak to an Independent Financial Adviser.
Critical illness cover offers protection for you and your family should you lose your income due to suffering a critical illness. It is designed to pay out a tax free lump sum should you be diagnosed with a critical illness/condition. The conditions covered by the insurer will vary but generally include heart attack, stroke, cancer and multiple sclerosis. Yes, combining Critical Illness and Life Cover is often cheaper than standalone Critical Illness cover.
